Aurigami: App and Aurora+ Lending

Aurigami is a non-custodial lending protocol on Aurora, with access through its dedicated app and the Aurora+ lending interface. Aurora+ puts deposits and collateral-backed borrowing alongside other ecosystem tools. For a fuller holdings view and advanced features, Aurora’s December 11, 2023 lending announcement directed users to Aurigami’s own app.

Aurora+ lending launch on December 11, 2023

Breakdown: Aurora+ lending launch on December 11, 2023
Interface Lending access described at launch
Aurigami app Deposits and borrowing against eligible collateral. Recommended for a more comprehensive holdings view and advanced features beyond the simplified Aurora+ interface.
Aurora+ Deposits and borrowing against eligible collateral, with five deposit assets including ETH and USDC.e. The interface permitted one deposit asset and one borrow asset at a time.

The five-asset menu and one-asset limit belong to that launch description. Check the current asset menu and interface limits before relying on those launch details.

Position views and borrowing controls

Aurora+’s launch interface showed the borrowing amount supported by the deposit, displayed confirmed positions, and summarized yield and interest. Aurigami’s app documentation locates the collateral toggle under Deposit in My Account and repayment controls under Borrows.

Borrow Limit reflects the borrowing capacity supported by eligible, enabled collateral after collateral factors are applied. Actual borrowing also requires available liquidity in the selected asset market. Borrow Utilisation shows how much of that capacity the debt uses. Confirm whether a deposit is enabled as collateral before relying on it for a loan.

Debt exceeding the collateral-adjusted Borrow Limit makes the account eligible for liquidation, expressed as Borrow Utilisation above 100%. Interest accrual and asset-price changes can move an existing position toward that threshold.

Rate comparisons within the same market

Interest rates depend on borrowing demand within each Aurigami asset market. Compare the same market at the same time, since a different asset or a later observation can have a different rate. Market utilisation, used to set rates, measures the share of that market’s deposited assets currently borrowed; Borrow Utilisation measures an individual account’s debt against its borrowing limit.

Separate Aurora+ tools and gas arrangements

Aurora+’s swapping and staking integrations use 1inch and Jet-staking, respectively. Lending and borrowing use Aurigami contracts. A swap listing does not establish collateral eligibility in an Aurigami market.

Aurora’s documentation describes gas-free swaps and AURORA staking under those separate features. Those statements do not specify the gas treatment of lending transactions. Network transaction charges and interest on borrowed assets are separate costs.

Contract exposure through both interfaces

Aurora+ uses Aurigami contracts for lending, so this integration retains exposure to Aurigami’s smart-contract and pricing risks. Contract failures can lock or lose assets, and inaccurate or delayed oracle data can affect collateral valuation and liquidation. Audits do not eliminate these risks.
